Friday in NOLA
We got a late start to our day. I went out for provisions (booze, Zapps, and water) while nick slept in. We took the street car to the FQ and made our first stop for a daiquiri. It is nice to be able to walk around with a drink in hand. Central Grocery was our first lunch back in NOLA. Nick and I crave their sandwiches and olive salad. I told Nick that if I were on death row and, they let me choose my "last meal" it would consist of a muffuletta and a bag of Spicy Creole Tomato Zapps. After lunch, we wandered back to Bourbon street and took in some live music at the Krazy Korner. Both the accordion and washboard player were rockin' it. I have a feeling it might be the only live zydeco we see while we're here...
We picked up Nathan and Alana that evening. Hopped on a very crowded street car to the FQ. First drink of the night was the ever popular Hand grenade. Its melon taste conceals the everclear. We took the drinks to go and made our way to Coop's Place for dinner. I am in love with their green goddess dressing and pretty much anything else edible that they serve. Next stop was hurricanes at Pat O'Brien's...
This morning we're going to grab some breakfast at Cafe Du Monde... not sure where else the day will take us...
