Florida!

I just got home from a 10 day trip to Florida. Nick and I spent a majority of our time relaxing at his sister Marisa's home in Kissimmee. I spent a bit of moolah and updated my wardrobe a bit. It always feels great to slip on a new outfit before strolling back into work.

Marisa and her husband David are expecting a baby in November so much of our excitement surrounded guessing the gender of their upcoming bundle of joy. We tried an online quiz made up of all of the old wives tales (e.g, "Does it look like the belly is high or low" and "Does the mom look better or worse since pregnancy began"), the old Cuban method (involving 2 chairs, pillows, a knife, and a pair of scissors), consulting "the spirits", and a pee test. Needless to say we still aren't 100% sure of the gender but, Mom and Dad feel that it is going to be a boy.

Nick and I spent one day out at some Disney theme parks. MGM and Animal Kingdom were the ones we made it through before we decided to just go home. We wouldn't have gone if Maria and David's super nice friend hadn't given us some free passes. We also spent the evening at Bongo's restaurant located in Downtown Disney. I love Cuban food so Bongo's was a tasty treat before Miami.

Miami was beautiful. It's always great to see Nick's family. We spent most of our time with his little sister Karina, his step mom Alba, and father Ernesto. We made it to South Beach to swim and have a couple drinks. Here is a link to pictures, enjoy.
