Crazing driving in StL-MO

So, last night I was riding back from a family Christmas celebration with my new sister-in-law Laura. We were on a 4 lane fast flowing road, Hampton when we both start to hear this loud scraping noise. I thought maybe Laura's muffler was hanging off of her car and scraping on the ground.

We both looked at one another with puzzled looks on our faces and asked the question, "what is that noise?!?" Laura looked into her rear view mirror and exclaimed, "look behind us!" I turned to see this big SUV barreling down the road with sparks flying from the drivers side because it is missing is tire!

This fool is driving 40 or faster with sparks flying everywhere and almost runs us off the road. He/she continues to drive for a couple more miles before finally turning off onto another street. Seriously, why didn't this person just stop? It was one of the craziest things I have seen... and to think the day before I thought that watching a guy use a squeegee on his windshield in the rain was humorous. The guy was even passing it to the passenger to clean off the other side of the windshield.

Driving with out a drivers side front tire= crazy
Using a squeegee instead of windshield wipers= mildly entertaining moronic actions
