Sore Thighs... sad thighs

I went to my second core class last night. It didn't kill me as much as the first. Maybe the abdominals are already getting strong again or, more than likely, it was because we didn't do the exercises with the ball.

What's really unfortunate is that I didn't get my 20-30 of cardio in before the core class. The pair of pants I was wearing at work had their way with my thighs leaving the skin all red and sore. Seriously, how bad is it when your work pants have a seam that decides to gnaw on your sensitive soft inner thigh skin. This is a prime example for why we shouldn't have to wear pants... Okay, thats taking things a little far.

I think it is nearly impossible for a woman over the age of 25 to not have thighs that rub together even a little bit. It's a part of growing up and becoming a woman. So, I know I'm not the only one to has had the seam problem. It just sucks that it managed to keep me from doing the cardio and toning of said thighs.

First Time Visit to the ER

I caught the stomach flu apparently.

Friday morning while waiting for the key shop to make some master keys of the LeMone office my abdomen started to hurt. My thought was "eh, this isn't too bad. I've been through worse." Progressively through the day I started to feel worse. For breakfast I attempted to choke down a half bottle of Naked- Green Machine (typically I can just chug one down because they are delicious).

I couldn't think about walking to go get lunch. I was pretty miserable but, still I didn't want to be a "wuss" and go home early. I finally got sick in the bathroom but, that didn't give me a reason to go home yet. It took me feeling feverish to go home.

Nick and I had previous plans to dog sit for one of his coworkers. She's a great dane puppy. I though "I'll be ok to look after her while Nick goes to a birthday party. She, Tobie, and Matilda can just play and I'll be here on the couch." That was good in theory. Since she's a puppy she isn't the best with her motor skills so I wound up being knocked into quite a few times. That's when I noticed blood. One of the dogs was bleeding. Apparently a broken toe nail. Nothing too crazy but, when you are feeling like you are about to vomit at any moment and there are 3 dogs going nutty things go from chill to insane in 3 seconds. Somehow when I was applying flour to the bloody nail a glass filled with juice shattered on the floor. Once all of the dogs were locked in the kitchen I cleaned up as best as I could... to go out to find the dogs had peed in the kitchen.

Saturday morning came and I am feeling a little better. I hadn't kept and liquids down for going on 36 hours or more. Nick convinced me to call my Drs office. Which led me to call the 24 hour nurse hotline. She asked me my symptoms etc and recommended a trip to the ER.

I'm terrified of needles. I cry like an infant when its mentioned that they will be sticking me with a sharp object. I have to admit my ER experience wasn't terrible. I'm glad I went because I'm feeling much better. They hooked me up to an IV and now I'm on some anti-nausea meds. I feel like I have wasted my whole weekend being sick. It really sucks because its almost 60 degrees outside today. From this day forward I'm going to immediately go home when I get sick at work. It's not worth it to stay.

Yay ER, Boo gastroenteritis!
