I don't think you're happy enough....
Sometimes you have one of those weeks, days, months, or years that really test your patience. This was one of those weeks for Nick and I. It all started off with me being hypersensitive about nearly everything (aka anything and everything was sure to elicit some kind of angry or upset response *blah*) . Wednesday night Nick's truck got stuck in the mud on his way to pick up some food. It took over an hour before we gave up and called tiger towing. I came up with a plan to fix the mess left behind (Lowe's- shovels and gravel, GO!).
Cleaning up the mess wouldn't have been too bad if:
1) the gravel Nick purchased didn't look dayglo compared to the rest of the gray old gravel (seriously it looks like we are constructing some kind of a landing pad out back)
2) Tobie hadn't decided to breaking free from me would be fun. We spent over a half hour chasing him around the garage next door. I caught him when he decided to poop.
3) I would have rather been at Thursday night margaritas (yum)
Friday, beautiful day outside. I was excited to start my weekend relaxing with Nick. Relaxing stopped before it could start. When I opened the door to the kitchen I noticed that the floor was black (this usually isn't the case). Tobie brilliantly decided that linoleum would be fun to play with. He removed a large section right by the doorway and chewed some pieces into little mini pieces. I wish I had taken pictures because he did a wonderful job of tearing the floor apart. I'm sure he also looked really cute while doing it.
Again, another trip to Lowe's (only $27) and Nick (with very small amounts of help from me) tiled the whole kitchen floor in 4 hours. This was something that I had never expected to do in my lifetime... I guess its always a good idea to try new things. Vinyl tiles are pretty cheap (36 cents a piece) and they were easy to put down. Just look at it isn't it just beautiful?Saturday was fun. I had some Myer's and cokes over at Bud's. We watched The Last Kiss and Beerfest. Good times. I also upped my Wii tennis score to reflect how awesome I am (I'm almost a pro) with the exception of how poorly I perform in the boxing ring.
Sunday, I thought I was productive. I wasn't. I watched the Oscars and numerous episodes of Law and Order: SVU.
Monday, I got to work at 8am and thought about how productive I would be. As you can read, I am actually writing this blog. Within an hour of being at work a coworker informed me that my car had a flat. So began the great tire search of 2007. It is now 2:30pm. I have a new tire (yes, I only purchased one... the other three will be replaced next week) and it only took... almost 5 hours!
Tonight, I am going to watch Heroes and sleep... lots of sleep.
