Weekend of Excitement

Friday night started off with Nick asking me to put on my new green dress for a nice dinner at Jack's Gourmet. Personally I thought the dessert was the best part of the meal hands down. I can never say no to a tasty creme brulee. After dinner we stopped by Sky High to see my coworkers band LuciDream play. It was good to see everyone outside of a work environment. Steve's band was great and I loved the cover of Cheap Trick's "I want you to want me". I requested some Tears for Fears which, he promises for a future show.

Saturday, not so much fun. Nick had been complaining about back pain but said it wasn't too bad. Well he pulled the muscles in his back while lifting parts for his truck. I rushed out for some meds, a heating pad, and an ice pack. The heating pad helped but he was still out of commission for the rest of the weekend. We spent the rest of the day Saturday watching movies.

Sunday morning we woke up early. My friend Chike gave me the heads up on some Wii's being shipped to Target. So we went to Target at about 6:30am in hopes that we would be able to purchase one. Lucky for us we were 3rd in line so we were guaranteed a Wii.

I realize in my previous post that I stated clearly that I am not going to purchase anything for Valentines day. Well, Nick and I are considering the Wii our Valentines gift to one another. He also purchased the new Zelda game which, is awesome (I kick ass at fishing). As for Wii Sports, I suck at baseball, tennis is ok, bowling is alright, and I also suck at both boxing and golf. I guess I just need more practice on the sports. When we got home with the Wii we noticed that Tobie(our 11 month old border collie mix) wasn't doing well. He vomited 3 times and had shaky back legs. I called the emergency vet to try and figure out what was going on with him. Their main concern was if he had swallowed something that was causing problems. After about a half hour he perked up and was back to his normal self. My guess is he ate something that didn't agree with his stomach so we spent the rest of the day cleaning the apartment.

He he. Hope both of your boys are feeling better!
